FAMILY PROMISE OF THE COASTAL EMPIRE APPOINTS NEW MARKETING MANAGER AND ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS

SAVANNAH, GA – June 6, 2024 – Family Promise of the Coastal Empire announces the promotion of Heather Tomlinson-Kersey to Director of Programs and Services, and the appointment of Zoe Newmann as the new Marketing, Communications and Events Manager.  


“We are thrilled to have such experienced, passionate individuals on our team,” said Family Promise Executive Director Katrina Bostick. “Heather and Zoe’s support is invaluable in working with us to fulfill our mission of helping the many families experiencing housing insecurity in Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham Counties.”   


Tomlinson-Kersey attended Georgia Southern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and minored in Gerontology and is currently working towards a MSW at Arizona State University. She has been a National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care for the last six years. She has also volunteered at Hospice and a Senior Living Community. It is important to Tomlinson-Kersey to help others succeed and overcome any obstacles they may be facing. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, reading, hiking, concerts, and spending time with her family. 


Newmann received a Master of Science degree in Communication from Grand Valley State University. Since 2019 she has worked in the marketing field. Specifically, she has been in the nonprofit sector for five years in development and has a passion for fundraising. Newmann previously worked with Grand Valley State University, David’s House Ministries, and Family Promise of West Michigan. She is excited to be a part of the Coastal Empire’s Family Promise team and for what the future holds for the organization’s development department.
