Host Site
VOLUNTEERS OF ALL FAITHS CHANGING LIVES
Family Promise’s shelter program partners with interfaith congregations and volunteer groups to support local families facing housing instability. Host sites provide lodging, meals, and hospitality. Each day, families start with breakfast at the host site, followed by a bus ride to our Center. In the evening, they return for dinner and quality time. This routine ensures families spend evenings together, offering a sense of normalcy and support.
HOST CONGREGATIONS
Local houses of worship offer temporary overnight lodging in unused spaces. Volunteer teams from host congregations assist by cooking and hosting dinner, spending evenings with families, providing tutoring and activities for children, sleeping overnight, coordinating crafts, donating supplies, and setting up and breaking down guest rooms.
